This happens when the rock doesn’t load for the player so they can walk into it and then the rock will load and its really hard for the player to get out
As of 3.2.1 8/10/2017 this happened to me. While running in the dark as innocent, I was going towards the 3rd level and noticed I should’ve had to turn, but didn’t actually see the rock that should have been in front of me. It unrendered (de-rendered?) and then rerendered before I got to the other side of the rock, trapping me inside, still being able to shoot my weapon and hit people, but being unable to move and eventually died to gas and had to watch my innocent teammate bleed out 5 meters from me while I had the antidote stuck in a rock.
We’re aware of most of these issues and hoping to release a patch sometime this week to fix a few small issues. Such as the perk issues and hopefully the crashes as well as a few more small things.
The levers and objectives need a bit more investigating, if you are ever able to collect any screenshots of levers that are a problem and/or objectives which you need to be standing on the box/jumping on, that would be really helpful to us!
Considering the way people queue for the game, region queue’ing might make more sense than language queue’ing now, that way people will have a sense of what kind of connection they will have to the server.
I don’t agree with this exact suggestion, just because I feel like noticing someone by their skins, or being able to change skins every game to keep people guessing is a part of the core gameplay. But I do agree there needs to be differences between ranked and casual. Currently the perk that lets you respawn faster when you’re downed as a terror is actually a counter-play to the bug that shows your character as you run out of blood, but removing bugs like this will allow speculation for what should be changed in ranked (having inconsistent gameplay makes it extremely hard to balance).
Only a few of my friends had FPS issues with the game on a solid rig, the only similarity they had with you is that they were running Windows 8.1.
Issues went away when upgrading to Windows 10, I’m not saying you should do this, but perhaps Windows 8.1 is just not working smoothly with the game right now (Sam? )
Sprays would be useless since the maps are pitch black around 70% of the time, so nobody would see them and it’d turn the game from a serious game into a spray fest where people show each other their fancy sprays instead of actually playing.
